Come celebrate AmeriCorps week with us as we make no-sew blankets and a food drive to support UCM and our community! We ask attendees to come prepared with 1 (or more) non-perishable food item for UCM Center's twice-weekly community meal program and a great attitude for making tied fleece blankets to donate to The Hive, Radical Times Nelsonville, and other community programs (depending on how many we make)! There are 2 shifts for this event: Tuesday, March 15th from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 15th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. We suggest parking in the metered lot across from UCM Center or at the Athens City parking garage. If you have a heavy load to drop off, call or text 740-464-7384 (Shannon S.) to arrange a helper to meet you on the curbside.
