Description

Tai Chi and Qigong can help improve your health and bring balance to the spirit and mind. LET US COME TOGETHER IN POSITIVE ENERGY WITH AN UPLIFTING QIGONG SESSION! SPRING EQUINOX QIGONG DETOX With renewal comes shedding of the old. On the Spring Equinox we will be diving into a Qigong session to help us detox our body and mind, bringing us to a state of balance. You will be guided through an exercise to help you set your intention(s) in this new season, followed by traditional Wudang Qigong and mindful movements. Setting Intentions Intentions are purposeful actions for a particular outcome or goal. Take a moment and think to yourself “what would I like to achieve?” Do you need to incorporate something into your daily habits, or do you need to purge something from your life? Detoxing With Qigong “Qi/Chi” means energy or vital life force (breath) and “Gong/Kung” means work or skill, and can be roughly translated as exercise. With “Qi Gong” we practice shifting our energy around with breathing and movements. Breath control is essential. This ancient exercise improves the functions of the respiratory and circulatory systems, which allows the body to deliver fresh, oxygen-rich blood to all the extremities of the body and assist with the elimination of toxins. Removing toxins from the body helps our skin to glow, our organs to function properly and our mind to operate in clarity, just to name some benefits. Our Focus at Elkhart Tai Chi is “BALANCE” This season speaks of newness and growth, so let us be like the spring blooms budding and coming forth in full glory!
