Create your own custom soy wax candles in this BYOB event in the lush greenery botanical venue at Terrace Plant Shop. Hosted by Kahani. ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE: We’ll guide you step-by-step in hand making candles with natural soy wax. Candle-making is both art and science. We will cover the basics as well as share tips and tricks on how to create a clean-burning, eco-friendly soy wax candle. All ingredients, equipment and materials are provided. This is a great experience for a date night or share with friends, family, or a treat for yourself! PRICE: $55 (Space is limited) LOCATION: Terrace Plant Shop, 416 Main St, Metuchen, NJ 08840 WHAT TO EXPECT: Each participant will make one candle in a glass vessel (7oz) and one candle in a tin vessel (3oz). You will have an assortment of fragrances to choose from. DURATION: The workshop is about 2 hours. The candle making portion of this workshop is about 1 hour and then your creations will need about 1 hour to set enough to be able to take home. During this set time, explore the beautiful space, shop around, grab a drink (BYOB) or if you are not able to wait for your candle to cool and set, we offer $7 shipping of your candles to wherever you’d like to send them. PARKING: Metered Street parking is available. Also, the Metuchen train station is a short walk to the event. AGE REQUIREMENTS: Participants must be 18 years and older. Must be 21+ to participate in BYOB (glasses are provided), please bring your ID with you. SAFETY + CLEANLINESS: Per the CDC guidelines, as our Community Level is on the low tier in Middlesex County, masks are optional. If you are immunocompromised, learn more about how to protect yourself at the CDC website. If you are feeling ill, please make a responsible decision and request a refund. A COVID-19 Questionnaire is linked here for guidance. Hand sanitizers will be placed at each table. A Liability Waiver will be required for participation (completed at the beginning of the workshop). CANCELLATION: Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your booked class in order to give all our participants the best experience possible and ensure our classes are run smoothly. We offer guests FULL REFUNDS for cancellations of scheduled classes that are made 24 hours (1 day) in advance of their scheduled reservation. If you do not show for your class or cancel at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled class, no refund will be issued. Unfortunately, as these workshops are special limited events, rescheduling classes is not possible.
