Learn more about the different kinds of advance directives and get help filling them out, with a notary on site to make it official.
Advance directives are legal documents that explicitly describe your wishes for care, including medical power of attorney, living wills, and psychiatric advance directives. These documents help to protect your rights and dignity, and honor your wishes for care in the event you are incapacitated. This is especially important for the queer community, for those who are estranged from family or who have unsupportive or non-affirming family. In this workshop, Dr. Brady Dubose, PT, DPT (he/him) will teach you about the different types of advance directives, and will help you fill out these documents. We will have a notary on site, free of charge, to help you finalize these documents. This in-person event is open to folks who do not identify as cisgender.
