Our Panelist: I want to highlight Holly Hagerman, she is one of our panelists who was very helpful in finding our final panelists Johnny Goudie, and even going as far as introducing me to a couple of local venues. She is the founder of Amptup "Rebound, Rebook, Revolutionize-Making life easier for Musicians, working for equity, giving bak with every transaction". With Holly's mission for equality and diversity in the music space, her passion oozes off of her, even over email! Her kind of passion is essential to solving the music industry problems we face. (https://www.linkedin.com/in/hhagerman/) Sly Roque is coming all the way from Atlanta, GA. We discovered her in a Twitter Space while discussing music NFT's. Her experience and her obvious sense of music industry knowledge, drew me in instantly. Our first conversation showed me that she also desires to see as better future in the music industry. Her resilience and adaptability through out her career, showed me that she's in for the long haul. She's been deeply immersed in the music industry for years and is originally from Houston, TX. "My clever designs and marketing campaigns lead me to work with major musical artists & talent from labels & music groups such as Warner, OVO, No Limit, Jet Life and The Chopstars." (https://www.linkedin.com/in/sylinthia-roque/) We discovered VSN in a Twitter Space when we were discussing the future of music in Web 3.0. VSN's "vision" for the music web3 space is inspiring and empowering, every idea that they spoke on seemed to propose a bright and encouraging future for music. Since Uni is headed in this direction, we thought it entirely appropriate to bing VSN along for the discussion. "A unique musical talent. A master of Transmutation. A new future for People of Culture. A magnetic community builder in the Black Web3 ecosystem. An onramp for the best and brightest, led by the tenets of compassion and equity." (https://twitter.com/vsnaire ) As mentioned, we met Johnny Goudie through Holly and as soon as we began speaking, it was as if he had an endless amount of music industry wisdom. Being that he had first hand experience with the rise of Napster, and he's held many conversations with music professionals through his podcast " How did I get here?", Johnny seemed like the perfect person to bring in the history of the music industry. "Through his four-decade career, Johnny's musical experiences span the artistic gauntlet and include being the frontman of many bands including Goudie (Elektra Records), the guitarist/keyboardist/backing vocalist for renowned touring acts like Ian Moore & Bodeans, a songwriter working with the likes of Jane Wiedlin, Charlotte Caffey and Kathy Valentine (Go-Go's), a solo artist capable of revealing a previously unseen intimacy, and of course, keyboardist/vocalist for SKYROCKET!"
