Supergroup featuring the Bay Area’s finest altrock talent, including two members of the Counting Crows and Patrick Winningham of Hotel Utah. 21+ Doors at 6PM. Main act starts at 7:30 pm. Tender Mercies is a perennial, alt-country, Americana supergroup with roots to the Bay Area’s finest songwriters and musicians. In 1983, Patrick Winningham, a songwriter and manager of the legendary Hotel Utah music venue, met Dan Vickrey, guitarist of the Counting Crows. These two soon brought in Kurt Stevenson on bass, and Jim Bogios, also of the Counting Crows, on drums to form Tender Mercies. See them live at Almost Famous Wine Lounge, an award-winning, new tasting room and venue located on Vasco Road in the heart of Livermore's wine, spirits and brewery district. Almost Famous Wine makes fifteen wines in diverse styles, and earned 26 top industry awards since our debut in 2022. Almost Famous Wine Lounge is currently requiring COVID-19 vaccination proof, or proof of a negative Covid-19 test result, taken within 48 hours prior to entry. Wearing a mask is not required, but encouraged for the safety of oneself and others. Festival seating so please arrive early unless you don’t mind standing. Outside food is welcome, but only AFW wine can be consumed on premise.
