Description

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The girls' volleyball teams at Central Bucks High School East and West presented proceeds of $975 from their annual "Pink Out" event to benefit patients of Doylestown Health's Cancer Institute. The annual event was held at Central Bucks East High School in October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, instead of spectators, raffle drawings and bake sales, the teams collected donations from family members and peers. "We are grateful the Central Bucks Girls' volleyball teams, coaches, and families were motivated to donate again this year, even under these unusual circumstances," Garrett Owen, Director of Development at Doylestown Health, said in a news release. Since 2014, the teams have raised more than $17,000 for the institute.
