CERT members learn about disaster preparedness, fire safety, light search & rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) make a big difference in a disaster situation. CERT volunteers are trained in the basics of response techniques to assist their community following a disaster when professional responders are not immediately available to help. Read more about CERT volunteers on the City of Eastvale’s website at www.eastvaleca.gov/CERT.   CERT Basic Training will be held May 6-8, 2022, hosted by the City of Eastvale. This training is FREE to the public.  Training Site: City of Eastvale Council Chambers 12363 Limonite Avenue #900, Eastvale, CA 91752 Times & Dates:  Friday, May 06, 2022: 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, May 07, 2022: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, May 08, 2022: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (1-hr breaks for lunch. Lunch not provided.)   Please note: CERT training requires a commitment of 20 hours of training. This training is provided at no cost by the City of Eastvale and the Riverside County Emergency Management Department. Only those who successfully complete the practical exercise with hands-on instruction in fire suppression, search and rescue, cribbing, and medical training will receive a certificate of completion and a free CERT kit.   Participants must be over the age of 18. Minors 14 years old and over may participate but require a parent or guardian to attend the course and register the minor. Please note that we are unable to accommodate minors under 14 years of age. COVID-19 precautions will be in place; participants are encouraged to be vaccinated.
