The Food Initiative's Hog Roast Hootenanny is a fun, family-friendly outdoor event for people of all ages.
Join The Food Initiative for the 5th annual Hog Roast Hootenanny on Saturday, April 30th on the farm. Bring the family and invite your friends to enjoy an afternoon of good food, games, and live music.
We'll be roasting a whole hog. Festivities will begin at 11am with lunch following shortly after. The hog will be removed from the pit at 11:15am and then given time to rest to let the flavors meld before being served at 11:45am with popular BBQ sides and desserts, including a s'more station.
A "processional" will take place at 11:15am when the hog comes off the pit and is carried over to the buffet line. We know this isn't for everybody, but it's kinda fun to watch. (And no, there will not be an apple in the hogs mouth:)
Adult tickets: $15 Children (12 and under): $7 Child (2 and under): FREE- no ticket required
Feel free to bring your own lawn chair to relax and enjoy company or to watch the kids (whatever age) play! Prepare to bring home dirty, tired kids from all the fun they'll have at the Hootenanny!
