A Free, Community Egg Hunt.
The City of Oak Ridge Recreation and Parks Department will host a free Community Egg Hunt in A.K. Bissell Park, on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 11am.
Hundreds of children are expected to participate in this annual Spring event. Over 15,000 candy and toy-filled eggs will be hidden throughout the park. There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes. Hunt will start at precisely 11am, so be sure to arrive early! This event will be held rain or shine, so participants should dress for the weather. If severe weather prevents hiding the eggs outdoors, they will be given away as a drive-thru event and a drawing will be held for the prizes.
Arrival: Participants should arrive early and stop by one of our check-in tables, located in either parking lot, to get a map and directions to their hunt area. Please wait along the perimeter of the hunt area until the signal is given to begin.
The Hunt: When the signal is given, the hunt will begin! We ask that only the children (age 4 - grade 4) enter the area to find eggs. Parents please remain along the perimeter until the hunt is complete. Children with special needs are allowed to have one assistant enter the hunt area with them.
