Bucks County Libraries Adjust Offerings Due To COVID-19

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Bucks County Free Library is closing public seating areas at its main branches beginning Monday, Dec. 7, due to rising COVID-19 cases in the region, the library announced Wednesday. Seating will be limited to a limited number of socially distanced computer workstations, with a maximum session of one hour, but bookworms fear not: The library is still open for browsing, but you should plan on spending less than an hour in the book stacks. The seven-branch library system includes Bensalem, Doylestown, Langhorne, Levittown, Perkasie, Quakertown and Yardley. County residents can still use phone, curbside and remote services in addition to limited access of the buildings. The restrictions will remain in place through at least Saturday, Jan. 3.
