The closure of eastbound Cleveland St. at Gulf-to-Bay Blvd. was supposed to start today and is being pushed back one week, now from March 14 to 18. This is closure is due to stormwater improvements with the Cleveland Streetscape Phase 3 project. Detour: Gulf-to-Bay Blvd., west on Park St., north on San Remo Ave., then Cleveland St. ORIGINAL POST:
As part of Cleveland Streetscape Phase 3 construction, crews will be installing a stormwater system that will close Cleveland Street at Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard going east beginning Monday, March 7 through Friday, March 11.
A detour will be available there down Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard, west on Park Street, then north on N. San Remo Avenue., then back east on Cleveland Street. Drivers can still head west on Cleveland past the Gulf-to-Bay work zone during construction.
The Clearwater traffic department will also take down traffic signals and the mast arm at Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard and Park Street overnight on Thursday, March 10 into the morning of Friday, March 11. Stop signs will be installed after signals have been removed.
