Attendees wore blue and yellow clothing, waved flags, and held signs showing support for Ukraine's citizens during the unprovoked invasion by Russia. People passing the rally participated by honking their car horns. (WDBJ)The Roanoke Police Department is conducting an investigation into a Saturday shooting. The incident occurred near the intersection of Liberty Road NW and Courtland Road NW resulting in one man with serious gunshot wounds. Anyone with information about the shooting is being directed to contact the Roanoke Police Department. (WDBJ)Roanoke County announces a new director of their Department of Social Services. County Administrator Caywood announced the appointment of Susan Goad to the open position.
