RIDGEFIELD, CT — Selectman Bob Hebert has announced he will be running for the Connecticut House of Representatives, serving Ridgefield's 111th District. Hebert will be challenging incumbent State Rep. Aimee Berger-Girvalo, a Democrat, who defeated Hebert in his first run for the position in 2020. A 40-year resident of Ridgefield, Hebert is serving his second term on the Board of Selectmen. He is the former chairman of the Ridgefield Housing Authority. Hebert, a Republican, announced his candidacy at an event Thursday at Lounsbury House, where he was endorsed by John Frey, who represented Ridgefield and the 111th District in Hartford for over two decades.
