Press release from Albuquerque Public Schools: March 7, 2022 The Albuquerque Public Schools Spelling Bee was held on Thursday, March 3. The competition went 17 rounds. The winning word was REPOSITORY.  The top spellers are now eligible to compete in the state competition on March 11. They are: First Place: Garrick Tam,  8th grader at Cleveland Middle School  Second Place: Luke Brown, 5th grader at Dennis Chavez Elementary School  Third Place: Harika Reddy, 5th grader at Georgia O'Keefe Elementary School  Fourth Place: Dat Do,  8th grader at Hayes Middle School  Fifth Place: Rhaya Gurrola, 7th grader at Jefferson Middle School    This press release was produced by Albuquerque Public Schools.
