Description

Press release from HCE: March 7, 2022 Hudson Community Enterprises (HCE) will be hosting multiple informational workshops every Wednesday in March to provide details regarding Project SEARCH. HCE urges educators and parents/guardians of students with disabilities to explore opportunities to enhance the success of a student with disabilities. Please join us by registering for one of our online, interactive information sessions. Project SEARCH is a one-year, business-led, unpaid internship program for students with disabilities in their last year of high school that takes place entirely at a host business site. It provides students who want to work a chance to explore careers and develop transferable job skills. The combination of instruction and immersion in the workplace prepares young adults with disabilities to make successful transitions from school to productive adult life. "Students who want to work and explore ways to ensure a successful pathway from High School to post-graduation employment have access to an excellent opportunity through Project SEARCH," said HCE President Joe Brown. "We have an incredible track record assisting these students, and we look forward to more enrollment, as well as additional school districts joining our roster of educational partners."
