Authorities are still trying to track down two other people involved in the robbery who left the injured woman and teen behind to flee from police, according to the news release. Police say Spruille and the teenage boy entered the liquor store in the 1000 block of Fairfield Road at 10:47 p.m. on Tuesday and pulled out a gun while barking orders to employees behind a counter at the business, according to police. One of the employees got a firearm and shot several times at the woman and teen, striking both, police said. The vehicle went down a dead end road, and officers from the Round Lake Heights Police Department attempted to pull it over. Both a driver and passenger in the vehicle then fled on foot, according to police. Emergency personnel transported Spruille and the teen to Condell Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained during the shooting, police said. Police said the vehicle was confirmed to be stolen out of Kenosha, Wisconsin, and the Round Lake Beach Police Department are "working several leads" as they try to locate the driver and passenger.
