Description

GRAYSLAKE, IL — Do you have a lot of leaves in your yard that you want gone? If you answered "yes," you want to start raking. This is the final week for leaf collection in Grayslake. The village's leaf program runs until Friday, Nov. 27. As a friendly reminder, leaves should be placed, un-bagged, in a line within three feet of the curb or within five feet of the edge of the street where there is no sidewalk before 6 a.m. on Monday of the week in which pickup is desired. The length of each rotation is based on the volume of leaves and rotations may take less than a week or more than one week to complete, according to village officials. Also, village officials are reminding residents to avoid put leaves in the street. Waste management will not collect if they are not placed in the appropriate location.
