MURRIETA, CA — Road work on Clinton Keith Road Expansion Project continues Monday as the Riverside County Transportation Authority further expands access to Clinton Keith Road and further connect Murrieta and French Valley residents. The project, which will ultimately extend Clinton Keith Road from the I-215 to State route 79 will ultimately provide relief to road-weary commuters in French Valley and Murrieta, officials say. Workers are now in the final phases of that project which includes an extension of Clinton Keith Road from Leon Road to SR-79. "Ultimately, Clinton Keith Road will provide six lanes from I-215 to SR-79," officials say. "The improvements will include construction of two large drainage structures and two water quality detention basins for stormwater management." Construction remains underway and will be complete Late Summer 2023. Starting this week, work will take place in "Area 2" of the project, from Los Alamos Road south to the State Route 79, from Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. According to officials, workers will be installing acoustic fencing, surveying the project area and preparing the project area for structure excavations. Residents can expect construction noise, dust control vehicles, and traffic control during the roadwork. Other Construction Activities: Construction work in the area is ongoing between Leon Road and Max Gilliss Road. There will be minor signal work at the intersection, officials say. This week workers will demolish the ADA sidewalk ramps ans the grade and pour new ramps. Construction signs will be used for traffic control in the area.
