Looking for energetic individuals’ who enjoy working outside and don’t mind working the night life in our Parks in Anchorage. 5/8 shift 4:00pm - 12:30am with 1/2 meal period; Weekends and days of the week varies. Able to communicate and interact with others; involves bending, twisting, kneeling, repetitive motion of hands and fingers; grasping/gripping with hands; able to lift/carry more than 50 lbs.; use of hazardous/dangerous equipment and/or machinery; and work in/expose to inclement weather. L-71 Union positions. Under supervision, the Seasonal Park Caretaker I position will act as Anchorage's park ambassadors. The four main areas of responsibility for these positions will be to provide public assistance, permit coordination, education, and park security. Each one of these responsibilities requires the incumbent to interact with park goes for the purpose of encouraging the proper use of Anchorage parks through education, customer service, and public awareness. This is an outdoor position that requires incumbents to be able to drive, bike, and walk throughout Anchorage's park system. This includes any and all other duties as assigned.
