Description
CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — Mayor Kahlil Seren will nominate Joseph Sinnott to become the new Cleveland Heights city administrator during Monday's City Council meeting.
Sinnott is the former mayor of Erie, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and is a former resident of Cleveland Heights. His appointment will be given a first reading during the Monday meeting, which starts at 7:30 p.m. Information on Monday night's City Council meeting can be found online.
Sinnot was the mayor of Erie from 2006 to 2018, according to YourErie.com. He served three consecutive terms and then hit his term limit, which prevented him from running again.
If appointed, Sinnott would be the first person to serve as city administrator for Cleveland Heights, a newly created role. Cleveland Heights City Council must confirm any appointments for that position.
Seren also announced the hiring of Mike Thomas as Cleveland Heights' new director of communications.
