Birgo is a mission-driven company that is seeking a qualified Maintenance Technician to assist with multifamily apartment upkeep in the Buffalo, NY area. Birgo’s Values Teamwork: We are collaborative, approachable, and engaged Humility: We are selfless, gracious, and continuously improving Rhinoceralty: We are proactive, dynamic, and courageous Integrity: We are trustworthy, principled, and sincere Vision: We are forward-thinking, empathetic, and adaptable Excellence: We are goal-oriented, dependable, and accountable Core Responsibilities -Assist with routine maintenance to include, but not limited to, electrical, plumbing, painting, flooring, drywall, carpentry, and HVAC -Assist with keeping the grounds and common areas free of trash and debris -Assist with unit turnovers and make ready a vacant unit with a timely manner -Assist with preventative maintenance duties and tasks to help prevent future maintenance problems -Perform emergency on-call services for after hours maintenance related issues -Other projects as assigned to help Birgo improve lives through real estate Objectives and Key Results -Deliver a world class customer service experience to each and every tenant despite gender, race, age, or sexual orientation while completing work orders -Complete all work orders to the highest standard and in a timely manner -Demonstrate ongoing professional development Successful Candidate Profile Work Requirements -Must be eligible to work in the United States -Must have a personal and reliable mode of transportation -Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds without assistance -Must be able to work in confined spaces as well as ascend and descend ladders and staircases Skills & Qualifications -Organized and detail-oriented -Working understanding of maintenance related fields -Time management -Any additional certification (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, ect) will be considered an advantage Work Style -Servant hearted -Team player who can work independently -Comfortable working within established processes -Strong commitment to timely and accurate work Benefits -Medical, Vision, and Dental health insurance with company contribution -401(k) retirement plan with employer match -Lease renewal bonus -Professional development reimbursement program -Discounted Airbnb rates at Birgo Properties More about Birgo We take care of our hardworking, competent team by providing opportunities for professional growth, paying attention to holistic staff needs, and celebrating life together.
