Description

Hey there! My name’s TJ, and my indie rock project is called Sooth. It’s been a solo endeavor for a few years, and I have a solid handful of songs that have been released at this point, as well as a full length album coming in mid/late 2022! I’m now hoping to put a band together (to practice on a somewhat regular basis), so we can lock in a tight set of my songs for an album release show, and beyond! I’m looking for a kind human who also happens to be a versatile drummer that digs creative folk rock and wants to help bootstrap a band. I have a couple other interested players (guitar/bass/keys), but I really want to build a foundation with just drums (and myself on vox/guitar) before adding anything else — because I’m also a drummer, and that’s what makes the most sense to me. Here’s a link to my Spotify. Many of the recordings have extra artsy/esoteric bits before and after, but if you can listen past all of that, you should be able to grasp the core ideas of the songs: https://open.spotify.com/artist/1aVU40NC1qbSJAE0yEa2PY?si=Fn1cISxGS8Okj-Wmx207Qg For additional context, this might be a great fit if you’re into any of the following bands: The Shins, Cold War Kids, Delta Spirit, Deer Tick, Surfer Blood, Arcade Fire, Fleet Foxes, Dawes, Vampire Weekend, Bright Eyes, Fruit Bats, Bon Iver, Feist, The Killers, Pinegrove, Mister Heavenly, Jenny Lewis, The Strokes, Born Ruffians, Kings of Leon, Dr. Dog, Spoon, and sure — the icons — Beatles, Dylan, Beach Boys, Willie, Paul Simon, Joni, etc... And hey, even if you’re not into any of those bands, it could still be an awesome fit! All intersections of identities welcome and celebrated. Please do feel free to reach out if you truly want to join in and help create some musical magic! Thanks! TJ
