Beginning Bluegrass Guitar Help

I play guitar for years and like to Travis pick these days a lot but never learned to play bluegrass or country rhythm guitar. I’ve tried YouTube but so far I’m confused with all the info and scale info. Question: How should I begin to learn how to play bluegrass? I admit up front I’m not the best when it comes to being a learner. Is it too late? By that I mean will it take me too long to learn the basics? I’m retired and can’t afford lessons. Is their a free site you could recommend? Thanks in advance.
