Description
Hello Bay Area Drummers - Bay Area Rolling Stones tribute band The Tumbling Dice are seeking their Charlie Watts.
About us: We have been together in some form of another for over 3 and a half years now, and in our current form consist of a singer, lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass, piano, saxophone, and backup vocals. We sometimes also play with a percussionist and acoustic guitar (when we can get everyone on the same stage). We're a diverse group. Ages range from 30s-50s, with various music backgrounds. We rehearse every other week on Tuesday nights in Oakland and try to play shows once or month or so. We've played the Ivy Room in Albany, the Lunar Lot / Orbit Room in SF, Toots Tavern in Crockett, and more. Not a lot of money in it at the moment, but we're having a blast and are always looking for the next opportunity. We have professional gear and a DIY attitude to get things done. We don't try to dress like the Stones; no wigs or fake English accents. We simply try to channel the music, get the audience up on their feet and dancing. Here are a couple of videos that we made, one during the pandemic when we were featured on the Concord Couch Concert series and another shot recently during rehearsal:

About you: We seek someone who loves The Rolling Stones, is friendly, and has the time and inclination to rehearse and regularly play shows. You should know how to play and have your own drum set for shows, but there is a set where we rehearse that you can use. Age is only a number. This could be your first or your 101st band. Drink and 420 friendly, as long as you can keep the groove going.
If this sounds like you, please get in touch! Let us know a bit about you, your experience with the drums, your musical taste, and availability.
Thanks!
