Depending on your related skills and experience, you could be hired as a Lab Technician I, II or III. Please see below a brief description of each: What you will do at Fall Creek: Lab Technician I · Responsible for micropropagation (cutting) of in vitro plant material as directed while maintaining productivity targets and standards. Assures plant quality, planting quality and complies with contamination standards, constantly self-monitoring performance and quality. · Maintain an organized and sterile workstation, and maintaining safety procedures Lab Technician II · Records data of all activities (time, of containers used/made, # plants planted) and observations in proper logs. · Lab Technician II has consistently higher than average planting rates, and/or can efficiently perform more sophisticated tissue culture activities (i.e. initiations, contamination screening, recovery, quarantine, etc.), and has a moderate understanding of lab processes · Assists with stocking the Transfer Room with supplies, printing labels, scanning production vessels and shipping. Lab Technician III · Thorough understanding of the transfer room processes and operations · Selects plants and media as directed and sets them up in the Transfer room, making them available for other technicians to use. · Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail in all aspect of the process. · Assist with training of new employees. What you bring to Fall Creek: · Highschool diploma or GED · High attention detail and the ability small deviations · Highly organized in handling materials, equipment and supplies · Excellent oral and written communication skills · Levels will be determined based on education, experience, and equivalents Who is Fall Creek?
