Description As an integral part of the Cobalt team you will use your skills to provide impeccable service to all internal and external customers. Help increase sales and productivity by keeping the shop and vehicles clean. Reduce technician down time and reduce maintenance and vehicle expenses. Daily Duties -Sweep all shop bays -Dump trash in main building and shop -Patrol yard for trash and debris and any signs of tampering -Inspect all company and customer vehicles and verify they are locked at the end of shift Weekly Duties -Blow out entire yard -Clean and organize shop tool lockers -Empty steel trash bins in fab room and all bays -Organize steel bins inside and outside -Clean and organize hardware bins including those in the show room -Clean and organize storage areas -Inspect forklifts -Remove any and all weeds on property Semi-Monthly Duties -Clean and degrease equipment and vehicles -Wipe down oil tanks in lube area -Wipe down portable grease dispensers -Perform maintenance on steel room grinders, welders, plasma machines, metal shear, and metal break Monthly Duties -Steam clean forklifts -Pressure wash display bodies As Needed or Required Duties -Pickup and deliver parts -Detail trucks -Wipe down shop equipment -Organize hydraulic hose area -Clean solvent tank -Wash out catch basins, fuel tanks, oil tanks, and drawer packs -Perform maintenance on swamp coolers -Organize bull pen and adjust racks -Repair paint on building when needed -Breakdown pallets for disposal -Load and unload shipments -Assist with kit pulls -Assist techs when needed Work Environment This position works in a warehouse and shop setting, with outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard warehouse and shop equipment such as hand trucks, forklifts, steam cleaners, and box cutters. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or type; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and sit for long periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a half hour lunch, but hours could change based on need.
