Job Objective(s) Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the campus and ensuring that visitors, residents, families, and staff have a positive impression. Additional duties include cleaning of common areas, project cleaning and seasonal cleaning duties as assigned. Weekly cleaning & laundry in resident’s rooms. Job Responsibilities and Duties • Provide consistent & quality work to the residents and staff • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and cleaning cart • Follow job routines and instructions according to the assigned housekeeping schedule. • Assure resident apartment and laundry are clean and sanitized as scheduled. • Maintain inventory for daily needs & notify supervisor of supply issues • Assist in keeping all common areas neat, clean and safe. • Follow the daily schedule to ensure all tasks are accomplished in a timely manner. Cleaning duties includes but not limited to: • Vacuuming hallways, elevators and furniture • Washing inside glass doors and windows • Sweeping and/or mopping floors • Cleaning and stocking supplies in restroom • Dusting • Rubbish/trash removal • Washing / polishing woodwork and baseboards • Seasonal duties as assigned Qualifications • Minimum 1 year housekeeping/cleaning experience • Able to make responsible choices and decisions, and act in the resident’s best interest. • Ability to motivate oneself and work independently • Ability to be flexible and to work with other staff and residents • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals • Good work ethic • Maintains confidentiality • Able to read, write, spell, do basic math, speak and understand English.
