The reality of fossil fuel and alternative energy today.......

Description

John Kerry in his remarks today just has doom and gloom to say, nothing constructive. To replace one fossil fuel plant it would take about 3 million solar panels or about 450 wind turbines. A 25 sq mile of wind turbines in the ocean, say off the coast of Boston or New York, it could only supply about 1.8% of their current energy needs. That's a lot of land eaten up for energy supplies that are only intermittent at best. European nations don't have this kind of land space. Our fossil fuels and natural gas can be exported to places like Europe to meet their energy needs. They can be loaded on ships and trains and exported and moved to where needed. Power from solar or wind cannot be exported or moved around. If you are going to fly in a jet plane across country, it will use fossil fuel. We all understand and appreciate the issue with climate change. However, our current alternative energy sources just don't live up to meet needs. They need a lot more development and improvement. Biden, the Democrats and Kerry in particular, just make the jump to everybody just do it. Just get an electric car, just stop fossil fuel plants with no solution to replace the lost energy.
