At Deerwoods Management, we are in the business of managing and caring for various different real estate asset classes (from residential, to apartments, to commercial buildings). The backbone of our service to both clients and residents is our exceptional Maintenance team. At Deerwoods, Maintenance Technicians perform the upkeep, maintenance, turn management, and repairs for Deerwoods' properties. Maintenance technicians have a unique opportunity to gain exposure and experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, general unit turn work, and other building systems. Have experience in any of these categories? Even better! Otherwise, the right candidate can learn these skills on the job. Pay Rate: $21/hour-$25/hour (+ additional compensation for overtime and mileage when driving personal vehicle) Work Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm On-Call: Rotational (subject to change) Job Duties & Responsibilities: -Perform Plumbing, HVAC, electrical, unit turn work, and other general property repairs. We will not expect you to complete repairs requiring special licenses or certifications, though if you hold any trades certificates, we may have additional opportunities for you. -Implement preventative maintenance measures and help keep properties tidy during visits. -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with residents, Deerwoods employees, vendors, and clients to ensure work is done thoroughly and properly. -Complete assigned tasks with detailed notes and efficiency. -Visit multiple properties and complete work order quota for the day. -Exhibit composure and professionalism in on-call emergency situations. Appropriately practice good judgement in addressing and curing emergencies while ensuring the safety of all parties involved. -Perform other maintenance duties as assigned, and make additional contributions to the team where possible. Skills & Qualification: -High school diploma or equivalent -Experience operating basic power tools -Some property maintenance experience strongly preferred (all degrees of experience will be considered) -Strong attention to detail and ability to perform duties with integrity -Ability to work reliably and autonomously, while maintaining teamwork with colleagues and supervisors -Experience interacting with customers and clients effectively -Ability to read, follow, and otherwise adhere to rules, policies, and safety procedures About Deerwoods: Deerwoods is a growing, fast paced, service focused, property and asset management business!
