We are a plant-based fast-casual Mexican restaurant located on Ventura Ave in Sherman Oaks. Currently, we are looking to welcome a new team member for the role of Line Cook. Candidates should:
- Be able to follow company recipes with precision and assume responsibility for product quality.
- Have experience preparing and setting up the kitchen prior to service. This includes following recipes, portioning correctly, and ensuring the line is stocked before opening.
- Be able to prepare a variety of plant-based Mexican dishes using a grill, plancha, fryer, and other kitchen equipment.
- Have an understanding of portion control. All staff should be able to consistently follow company standards for food portioning.
- Be proactive throughout the shift with stocking adequate levels of product on the line, and maintaining a clean and sanitary work station.
- Follow company standards for plating and presentation.
- Maintain open communication with FOH staff, and work together to address customer concerns.
- Be comfortable performing closing duties, including thoroughly cleaning the work station after close.
REQUIREMENTS:
- at least 1 year kitchen experience
- available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- current Food Handling Card
- knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations
- reliable transportation to and from work
