Lo Faber (NYC Broadway producer)with the Cello Emperor ( with Brecker now) and the girl from the MILAN Opera House played just after me. A guy who just picked up his guitar three weeks earlier played before me. THAT is the beauty of a well run open mike. Many open mikes are run poorly, with a click of poor players hogging things...... It's the hogging that ruins things. It ruins open mikes. If they keep the sign up sheet and limit times they are fine.
