GLEN ELLYN, IL — The number of coronavirus cases in Glen Ellyn has increased by 6 percent in the past week, according to information from the DuPage County Health Department (DCHD). As of Sept. 30, the village had reported 568 total cases of the new coronavirus. Those numbers had increased to 601 as of Oct. 7. In nearby Wheaton, the number of coronavirus cases had increased by 4 percent. As of Sept. 30, there had been 759 cases reported in Wheaton. The total number of cases reported in Wheaton as of Oct. 7 was 787. According to county health officials, these numbers could be "much higher" due to unreported cases.
