Warehouse Manager

Description

The warehouse manager will be responsible for entire layout and set up of the warehouse, inventory control system, kitting area and shipping & receiving functions. In this role, the ideal candidate will have experience setting up a facility from scratch, completing all necessary requirements to ensure safety and proper execution of the warehouse including: - floor plan layout * receiving/shipping area * storage area including racking systems for pallet storage * storage area for raw materials including highly sensitive piping, wiring, and various other components * kitting area for piping welding, cutting, finishing, fixture and component hook up connection * storage area for kitted materials - inventory control/warehouse management software selection, and implementation - manages up to 6 warehouse personnel - manages up to 3 facilities (there will be up to 3 small to mid-sized warehouse areas within a 5-mile radius Requirements: - Previous experience setting up a warehouse operation from ground up - a minimum of 7 years complete warehouse management experience including shipping/receiving, set up, inventory control systems, wms software and selection - a minimum of 7 years year’s experience working with and selecting various suppliers for racking/storage systems, forklift lease/rentals of various types, tools and other machinery needed to operate - a minimum of 7 years leading warehouse, kitting, shipping and receiving operations - OSHA Safety certification or experience in establishing a safe work environment centralized on OSHA principles and practices
