Political Campaign Looking for Canvassers

We are looking for enthusiastic canvassers to collect petition signatures for a Democratic political candidate running for the state legislature. As a petition circulator, you will be responsible for knocking on doors, talking to Democratic voters in the district about the campaign, and collecting their signatures so the candidate can appear on the ballot. If you’ve never canvassed or collected signatures before, our staff will train you on door-knocking and the regulations around collecting signatures. All equipment (clipboards, pens, lists, hand sanitizer, masks, etc.) will be provided for you. Our petition period is still undecided. We expect the period to start after 3/11 and last approximately three weeks. This position pays $20/hour. Canvasser Responsibilities: - Canvassing door-to-door to collect signatures for our campaign to appear on the ballot - Displaying knowledge of the campaign and important issues at the state level - Canvassing 3 days/week for at least 4 hours/day Canvasser Requirements - Registered Democrat in the state of Pennsylvania. - Ability to work outdoors. - Ability to walk and stand for long periods. - Ability to work on weekends. - Excellent interpersonal skills.
