You are so miss informed. It is the teachers and their union. They do not teach just the basics, they have an agenda. They should be preparing our kids for college. If they don't teach the basics how are they going to make it in college. My daughter was indoctrinated in the ninth grade in a Horticulture class. This is a class about plants but the activist teacher had to push her agenda on the kids. She showed them a video about 1 example of how pigs and cows are raised and miss treated. That is not how they are raised, you can always find one bad example. Fortunately the teacher got cancer and died before the year ended, she is not brain washing any more of our kids. Took me 3 yrs to bring my daughter back from that disaster. When my son was in 5th grade I went to parent teacher meeting. I asked why no home work is ever give to the kids. The teacher replied, he didn't believe in home work. He said they needed time to decompress after school. They get out at 3, go to bed at nine, give them home work and keep them off the street and out of trouble. His reply was have him read for half an hour at night. I told him he reads for 3 hrs, what am I supposed to do, take the book away from him? Fortunately both of my kids are doctors today. If I had young kids today I would be going postal on the school boards. The state of WA removed the requirement to pass science to graduate from high school. How are we supposed to get kids into medicine or research if they don't get introduced to science? If our kids can't read and write, how do they fill out a college application or job application. Mommy and daddy won't always be around to fill them out.
