Lombard Woman Charged With Attempted Terrorism Near Village Hall

LOMBARD, IL — A Lombard woman has been charged with possession of an incendiary device and attempted terrorism after police say she helped a man who approached several squad cars with a Molotov cocktail, lighters, butane torches and a bat near Lombard Village Hall on June 1. Amanda Wolf, 23, of the 1300 block of Steward Avenue, is being held in DuPage County Jail on $750,000 bond in connection with the incident, according to DuPage County State's Attorney's Office. Authorities say that on June 1, Wolf exchanged supplied items to make a Molotov cocktail to Christian Frazee, who was later arrested near the Lombard Municipal Complex. Frazee, who was charged with attempted terrorism and possession of an incendiary device, is accused of texting Wolf that he was going to "throw [expletive] at cop cars" and asking her to bring materials to make a Molotov cocktail. Man With Molotov Cocktail Arrested Near Lombard Village Hall: PD According to DuPage County State's Attorney's Office, Frazee texted Wolf, "Is peroxide flammable?" and Wolf is accused of responding, "I got that stuff for ya I also threw in some acetone I know that's flammable lol." DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said in a statement, "The arrest of Ms. Wolf sends the message that while we fully support peaceful protests in DuPage County, we have no tolerance for any criminal behavior perpetrated under the guise of such protests. Peaceful protests do not include Molotov cocktails, butane torches, knives and a baseball bat. There is nothing funny about planned criminal behavior, which, if carried out, may have caused significant damage to property and the potential loss of human life." Lombard Police Chief Roy Newton said, "For the safety of our community, it is imperative that we thoroughly investigate every aspect of this case, which will ultimately lead to its natural conclusion." Wolf is set to appear in court again on Aug. 28. Frazee, who was held on $1 million bond was released on June 30 after posting the necessary $100,000 bail. He is set to appear in court again Sept. 4.
