Job description Hometown Handyman is looking for team members in The Villages! We have immediate openings for people that want to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction. Positions Currently Available: ~ Handyman/Maintenance Shift: Monday - Friday ~ 7:30am - 5:00pm Compensation: ~ HRR: $10.00 - $20.00 ~ Hourly Rate Range is based on experience, knowledge and ability to be able to perform multiple types of work in the Handyman/Maintenance Field. Looking for someone that has working general maintenance knowledge to join our team in The Villages. (No electrical, plumbing or HVAC required) You will need at least some working/general knowledge in the following areas: ~ Power Tools (drill, sander, circular saw, grinder, etc) ~ Hand Tools (hammer, pliers, sockets, wrenches, shovel, etc) ~ Drywall Repair ~ Mounting/Installing Objects on Walls ~ Removal/Installation ~ Pressure Washing ~ Painting ~ General Maintenance (Fix or Repair - odd jobs) ~ Air Tools (sander, sandblast, paint) Desired Candidate Attributes: ~ Leadership - self-starters not afraid to take on responsibility ~ Teamwork - work efficiently with others towards a common goal/task ~ Communication and Interpersonal Skills - communicate effectively and with a wide variety of different people ~ Analytical Skills - recognize problems, distill and define the pertinent issues, determine and propose effective solutions ~ Dependability and Strong Work Ethic ~ Adaptability and Flexibility ~ Initiative and Motivation ~ Creativity and Intelligence Requirements: ~ Must have a valid driver's license. ~ Must have transportation. ~ Must be able to stand/sit/walk for long periods of time. ~ Must be able to work outside in all types of weather. ~ Must be able to lift heavy items. ~ Must have a working knowledge of power tools, ladders, painting equipment, etc. ~ Must be able to show up to work on time.
