IRVINE, CA — A new Amazon Fresh store has arrived in Irvine, joining the inaugural grocery store now open in Woodland Hills. The 40,000 square-foot store is located at the Irvine Marketplace on Jamboree Road selling a mix of "national and private brands and fresh produce, meat and seafood, and an array of prepared foods made fresh in the store, daily," according to an Amazon Press Release. The grocery store joins area grocers like Sprout's, Pavilions, Ralphs, Trader Joe's, Smart & Final Extra! Amazon Prime members can get free delivery to select regions, or use the Dash Cart to skip the checkout line if you're buying a few items. The convenient cart will check you out as you go. Standard carts are better for large-haul shopping trips. The Irvine Amazon Fresh emphasizes low prices with everyday-low-price items. According to Supermarket News, include bananas for 15 cents, fresh-baked bread for 89 cents, pizza slices for $1.79 and rotisserie chickens for $4.97. According to Supermarket Grand opening deals for the Irvine store are $2.69 for a 12-pack of Coca-Cola, buy-one-get-one-free Frito-Lay chips (7.75 oz.-9.75 oz.), 59 cents/lb. for green D'Anjou pears and $7.29 for Panorama Meats USDA organic beef ribeye steak (8 oz.), as well as $5.79 for a 55-count Sour Patch, Twizzlers and Jolly Ranchers Halloween candy assortment. The original Amazon Fresh store in Woodland Hills opened in September. North Hollywood is rumored to be the next location to open.
