ANAHEIM, CA - With holidays still in full swing, thousands of California residents and visitors headed to the happiest place on earth Friday, but many were turned away. There was no more room in the House of Mouse, Disneyland Resort reported on Twitter.
"Visiting the Disneyland Resort during the holidays is a tradition for many people and on high demand days like today, we do all we can to welcome as many guests as possible," a Disneyland spokesperson told Patch. If you purchased a park hopper ticket and were unable to use it, resort staff said those tickets would most likely be usable before the day was over.
At 11:30 a.m. the packed park stopped selling tickets until further notice, a resort spokesperson said. Tickets to Disney California Adventure remained available, at least, for the time being.
Meanwhile, at 2 p.m. ride wait times at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge were 100 minutes for guests looking to try their hand at piloting the Millennium Falcon.
Another ride with over 100 minute stand-by wait times included Space Mountain at 110 minutes.
If you do plan on swinging over to Disney California Adventure prepare to be patient.
Stand by times for Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout were at 125 minutes, and Soarin' The World remained at 130 minutes.
The longest stand by line was Cars land's Rapid Racers where standby times were at 180 minutes.
