Description

Beautiful blue eyed dreamboat searching for the love of his life. At 7yo he is ready to hang his hat and curl up by the fire in a nice comfy home. The Good: All vetted, neutered, vaxxed. Healthy, can provide vet records. Loving, sweet, affectionate, social. Loves dogs in a way I've never seen a cat love dogs - very peculiar hehehe. He is very attached to his humans and dogs and would spend 24/7 with them if he could. He uses the litter box exclusively. He is indoor only (PERIOD, he would have a heart attack outside). If you provide him a couple different size/shaped cardboard scratchers he will not bother your furniture. He doesn't pick carpet. He's not destructive, won't climb in windows or shred blinds, doesn't want to swing from the chandelier like Tarzan or go swimming in your fish tank. Mostly he wants to be right next to you watching TV and catching up on his beauty rest. He also loves looking his best so if you pull out the brush and say "brusha-brusha!" he'll come running. He's not big into playing much anymore but will sometimes when the mood strikes. Catnip filled toys are the best for this. The Bad: he's bad at being a Ragdoll. They're supposed to be floppy, social, doglike cats right? Well no one told Rupert that. He is skittish and shy of strangers, isn't fond of change, will NOT let you hold him and flop him like a ragdoll..but he IS huge like a ragdoll, 14-15lbs, all muscle. He likes to hide in cabinets and isn't fond of sudden movement or loud noises. Unless they're loud noises coming from him -- those are just fine. In a past life, Rupert was an Opera singer, and sometimes he channels that energy; mewling and yowling his little heart out. He sheds a lot and if you don't keep up on the brushing you'll find tufts of it everywhere. The Ugly: it's not exactly 'ugly' but he does have to eat a urinary formula food to keep his pH levels down. It's not prescription, it's over the counter and no more expensive than any other high quality cat food. I give him dry in the morning and a can of wet at night. Since he has a history of bladder stones (I will provide all paperwork from his vet stay: due to a surgery I elected to have, he can never block again, which means he will never be in danger of dýing due to bladder stones. We'll discuss more when you text). I add more water to it so he gets more water that way. He must be the ONLY CAT. Now and forever. If you aren't willing to only give your heart to Rupert until he passes away (dogs, bunnies, ferrets, Guinea pigs, rats etc are fine -- just no cats.) please don't text. He also has issues with clay cat litter, the dust causes respiratory problems, so pine or corncob litter works better. Right now he's shaved due to a matting problem so he's a little "ugly" 😂 but it will grow back and I can show you endless photos of his hair long. It is cottony and thick and if it isn't brushed every day/every other day it mats up quickly. He looks a little like a lion! Please text, I'm up late and would love to find the perfect match for our boy here. The reasons for rehoming are complex and I'll explain to you in depth if you're interested. We can do just a trial run. He's always welcome back here if it doesn't work out, no questions asked. He really is the sweetest most handsomest boy in all the land, and he wants to be your number one man - the only cat in the house. 9one8 4zero6 0eight0two No calls
