After 15 years of owning and running restaurants in NYC, Chef Natasha returned to her beloved hometown, Cleveland, to join the vastly creative and talented pool of chefs and culinary professionals. In early 2018 Pogrebinsky was chosen as one of the “Most Interesting People of 2018” (Cleveland Magazine), and now is at the helm of The South Side and Hi & Dry in Tremont. Building close relationships with farmers, local producers, and home grown media outlets and of course the customers, is at the top of Chef’s priorities. Natasha’s culinary point of view has always been to promote the influences of Eastern Europe on mainstream culinary menus, and with that the sense of community, the belief that food should be simple and honest, of the highest quality, at the same time being revolutionary and spontaneous. A difficult balance to achieve, but one that drives trends, makes an impact, and most importantly leaves you feeling happy and full. Chef's kitchen staff is 50% women with many of the leadership roles held by women. Jill Petrak General Manager, The South Side Jill Petrak (left) is the General Manager at The South Side and has been with the restaurant since day one. ABOUT THE WINE MAKERS: Winemaker, Susie Selby - Selby Vineyards Sonoma Selby Winery was founded in 1994 by Susie Selby, Winemaker, and her father, David K. Selby, M.D. Dr. Selby was a Vietnam war hero, a marble sculptor, and a world-renowned spine surgeon who traveled internationally, primarily to Europe. These trips were instrumental in an affinity for old-world wines that he and Susie shared starting with the first vintages of Selby Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Susie learned to make wine in a hands-on apprenticeship environment, starting as a tasting room manager, then a forklift driver/Cellar Master and eventually becoming the Assistant Winemaker at a larger winery, while still making the Selby Wines. Prior to his sudden death in 1997, Dave and his wife Nancy, who lived in Dallas, would travel frequently to Wine Country to taste blends with Susie and enjoy the food and wine of the region. After Dave passed away Susie decided to continue the dream of Selby and managed to do it on her own through a lot of hard work and challenges. Today she still has no partners or investors. Selby Winery produces over sixteen different varietals and has won numerous awards and accolades. “Enjoy wine; enjoy life,” will continue to be Susie’s approach to being a winemaker. That expression, like the wines, is a reflection of the passion, the fun and the enjoyment that Susie and Dave shared. Molly Lippitt - Consulting Winemaker, Michael Pozzan Winery Molly Lippitt Lyman was raised in the Sonoma Valley, where she cultivated an early fascination with wine. Molly's first job out of college was in the lab at Sebastiani Vineyards, the same winery where her father had spent more than three decades as operations manager. Molly has worked under and alongside multiple top echelon winemakers, including Heidi Barrett, Philipe Melka, Mike Hirby, and Julien Fayard. Raised in San Luis Obispo amidst the blossoming wine region on California’s central coast, Chelsea has covered every step of the winemaking process over the decade she’s spent in the wine industry. After earning a B.S. degree from the esteemed Viticulture and Enology program at the University of California, Davis, She set out to make wine across the wine regions of Californian. Intrigued with the sensitivity of grapes from year to year and location to location her work has taken her across the wine regions of California, from producing complex Pinot Noirs of the Santa Ynez Valley to the elegant Cabernets in Napa Valley, to balanced Chardonnays, in the Santa Cruz mountains. She’s put her experience and expertise into developing balanced and compelling wine for occasions small and large, from an intimate reunion of old friends, to warm family dinners and refined celebrations. For Montoya Vineyards, Chelsea’s goal is to create memorable wines that bring people together, serving to enthuse and delight time and time again. When she’s not enjoying a glass of wine you may find her hiking with her dog, Laszlo in the Big Sur, exploring a botanical garden, or playing an eclectic board game with her husband.
