Description

Looking for an interesting vocalist/guitarist. Someone who can shout good, but can get on key for some melodic parts and play "OK" guitar. You can be more interesting than good; power chords, a few 4 note noisy leads w/feedback here and there, you are good. If you play better than that, cool. Open to any race or identity. We are all in our 30s and early 40s. Been in bands, played shows, recorded, etc. I wrote a bunch of songs the last year, playing everything myself, but A) I really miss the collaborative part of being in a band and B) I am a C- vocalist at best. Ideally I'd like to throw some stuff back and forth with you remotely for a bit. I just want to see if things gel before we commit to anything. I can send you a few tracks with or without my scratch vocals and you send me back a vocal track or if you have a guitar idea, etc. I am up for you singing/yelling what I wrote, or throwing that out and doing your own thing. If things click, we will write a few songs remotely and when we have stuff we are happy with, try it out live. Then record for real and take it from there. I'm a high risk COVID person, so I take that seriously and all I ask is you be cool about that. Things I like: The Wipers, Mission of Burma, Sabbath, Scratch Acid, early Nirvana, METZ, Dinosaur Jr, Motorhead, Melvins, Hot Snakes, Fugazi, The Cure, Gang of Four, Lungfish, Hum, Jesus Lizard, Cloakroom, Meat Wave, Oozing Wound, The Breeders, Pylon, Touch & Go, Dischord, gothy stuff, metal stuff, old indie stuff. Project might not sound like all the above, but I like lots of stuff and am open to ideas.
