LAKE FOREST, CA — Firefighters were able to make quick work of a brush fire that broke out an unincorporated area of Lake Forest Saturday.
The fire dubbed the Live Oak Fire, burned about 1 1/2 hillside acres in the area of Live Oak Canyon and El Toro roads, Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Greg Barta said. The fire was first reported at 2:45 p.m, and it took county firefighters 43 minutes to stop the blaze.
The fire covered about 1/4 acre when firefighters arrived and threatened no structures, Barta said.
It grew to 1 1/2 acres before forward progress was stopped with an air attack and ground crews, he said.
