Have curling on your bucket list? Try it at our Open House! This hour-long session is a great way to get introduced to the game. At our Open House, you'll get a taste of curling! In this hour-long session, come get on the ice and learn to slide, throw and sweep. $35 Per Person. Reservations are required. Start times vary. If a time slot is not showing, it is no longer available.) Long Island Sports Hub –165 Eileen Way, Syosset, NY 11791 **The Hub is NOT ICEWORKS. The Hub is an entirely different facility. The Hub is on the same road as Syosset Lanes bowling center. Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? Under current rules, all who enter the building must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This may change as state, local, and facility rules change. There's no minimum age, but age 12 and up is generally best. You must be able to get enough "push" to slide a 42-pound granite stone on ice. Some of our curlers have been younger, though. An Open House is a good low-cost, low-commitment opportunity to try the sport, especially if unsure about a child's ability to play. Where do I go, what do I wear? What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? There is free parking on-site. Long Island Rail Road service is also nearby, though you will need to take a cab.
