Why Bother to Pray? Why Bother to Pray? This workshop will argue that the usual reasons given for prayer are theologically suspect. But there are theologically sound reasons to pray and understanding them can help us shape our prayer to maximize its benefits. Fr. Mike is a long-time spiritual director and one of the founders of FIND, the spiritual director training program for the Episcopal Diocese of Texas. He is the author of several books on spiritual formation, including TO KNOW GOD: SMALL GROUP EXPERIENCES IN SPIRITUAL EXPLORATION, and MAKING YOUR CHURCH A HOUSE OF HEALING, both published by Judson Press. He has given numerous other workshops and retreats.
