Tell Me The Truth About Racism
St. Chrysostom’s will host a special Lenten program - "Tell Me the Truth About Racism" - a series of stories that simply state the history of racism in the United States, told through the lens of Christian faith. Participants of all ages, especially parents and children (ages 4 and up), will draw inspiration from these stories, while reflecting on a path toward racial healing, reconciliation and justice.
Developed and led last year with families from St. Chrysostom's Chicago and St. Christopher's Oak Park, the program has been recognized by the Episcopal Church, gaining nationwide attention across multiple states and Christian denominations. Join us for the hour-long program at 11:15 am, as well as for worship at our 10 am service. Refreshments will be available and storytelling will begin promptly at 11:30. Free valet parking and nursery care for kids 0-4 is also available.
