Drummer Wanted

Description
Hello, We just lost our drummer (great player/guy; left on good terms) and are looking to find the right fit. Preference to someone with vocal/harmony skills. Please live in the east valley because long commutes don’t work, especially around rush hour. Goal is to gig 1-2x per month. The band’s lineup includes a lead singer, bass player with harmony skills and 2 guitar players (one with harmony skills) both with lead playing roles. We are all in our 50’s, young at heart, no drama and get along very well with everyone contributing in their own way. We ENJOY REHEARSALS. Sometimes crack a few beers. No one is doing this for the money. We do it because we like playing and the money just makes it a bit more fun. Our tastes are diverse but rooted in good classic rock and 90’s with some added diversity to keep audiences engaged (everything from Al Green to AC/DC). We want (mostly) songs that make the audience respond (dance, sing, MOVE, etc.). Of course sometimes you just want to play it because you like it. We have all the sound gear for performances. Must be committed to 1 practice per week (weeknights; currently either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday nights; we never practice on weekends) and have your own mic stand/mic/cable. We practice in 2 different locations, north Mesa at the 202/Gilbert Rd or in the area of Country Club/Guadaloupe. Practices start at 7pm (so arrive in time to be ready to play at 7pm) and we usually play til about 10-10:30pm. About you: COMES PREPARED, good harmony skills a plus, good attitude, flexible, open minded, good energy, mid 30’s or older preferred, not afraid to provide constructive input/feedback, quick starter, a good touch (doesn’t try to blow everyone out of the room). You practice at home and come to rehearsals ready to play. All members have a say in band activities (song selection, gigs, practice dates, etc.). With some brushing up, we’ll be ready to play out as soon as you are. Just looking for the missing piece. Please be prepared to play these songs for the audition: Take It Easy (Eagles, sing harmonies?) 3AM (Matchbox 20, sing harmonies?) Good Times Bad Times (Godsmack version) Basket Case - Green Day Are You Gonna Go My Way Walk This Way Blister In The Sun If there’s time after finishing the above, we’ll ask you to pick other songs from the list below and keep playing! AUDITION LOCATION: Address: 3235 N Arizona Ave., #5, Chandler, AZ 85225 (park/entrance is in back; look for a large canopy with a large “Laser Creations” awning in front of the garage bay door) If interested, please respond with some info about yourself. We care more about your playing/singing than your gig history.
