Abbie Sawyer Rooted in Des Moines, Iowa, Abbie Sawyer is a singer-songwriter and performer who “…creates a sound that is stunningly intimate” (dsm Magazine). Loved for her dynamism and charm, Abbie creates meaning and connection with her heartfelt lyrics and energetic delivery. Her original music tells stories of hope, despair, gratitude, beauty, and resilience, drawing deeply on her experience as a mother. Her latest project is a debut solo album, Love is a Flood, releasing April 3, 2022. This album was written and recorded during the COVID-19 pandemic, when there was a lot of time to reflect. Abbie Sawyer had birthed her second child during lockdown and was searching for direction. She started to explore the voicings of life around and within her and began writing and recording track by track at Golden Bear Records in Des Moines, Iowa. What emerged is a rediscovery of her dreams wrapped in a lush 11-track collection. The album embraces listeners with mesmerizing warmth and optimism, assuring them that—even in these challenging times—love, indeed, is a flood. Current projects include her solo work, Abbie & the Sawyers, Diplomats of Solid Sound and NOLA Jazz Band. Abbie has opened for Lake Street Dive, Rufus Wainwright, and Fitz and the Tantrums. Her projects have had 25+ million streams on Spotify. Annalibera Annalibera crafts wide-eyed, atmospheric songs that are equal parts pensive and heartbreakingly beautiful. Fronted by musician and writer Anna Gebhardt, the project’s first indelible mark on the recorded music world was 2015's Nevermind I Love You—a dense, soaring eight-song collection of chiming, beautiful indie rock songs. That year she also released an experimental cassette titled ‘loveil’ which was re-released on Night People Records the following year with an accompanying full-length film also experimentally crafted by Gebhardt. In 2018 she released ‘Opia’, blending synth-rock, dream pop and an eclectic range of influences. The project’s latest album, Moon Bath, continues the ethereal, immersive atmosphere with electropop songs and ambient interludes. D. Smith (Nashville/Des Moines) From deep in the heart of the country arrives the beguiling sounds of D. Smith. Crafting rich songs that reflect the lives and landscapes of middle America, Smith captures listeners with his warm vocals and expressive delivery. D. Smith’s inviting debut album “Cabin Fever” (2019) distills these strengths and showcases the best of his vivid songwriting.
