Honor the service and sacrifice of those buried in Stones River National Cemetery by cleaning their historic headstones. Every spring, thousands of volunteers gather at sites across the country to keep our nation’s heritage not only preserved but pristine. Park Day, the American Battlefield Trust’s annual hands-on preservation event, will include up to 40 volunteers cleaning historic headstones in Stones River National Cemetery on Saturday April 16, 2022. Volunteers must register to participate and should dress appropriately for the weather and must wear closed toe shoes. The event will take place from 9 AM to noon on April 16, 2022.
